About Us
- Brian and Paulien
- Brian Zinn (29-04-1973) is Canadian and Paulien Smits (03-08-1981) is Dutch. We met while traveling in Australia and have been living together in Holland since 2001. Brian is a software programmer and Paulien is doing her PhD in biomedical health sciences. Currently, Brian is a freelancer working for ministry of defense and doing a few other projects. Paulien started her PhD in 2006 and hopes to get her doctorate in 2009. We are both taking a break from our jobs to volunteer for 4 months in Ecuador and Peru, because we believe it is very valuable and rewarding work (not financially, of course)! This was not arranged through an organization - we have contacted each volunteer project directly. After narrowing down a huge list of volunteer possibilities, we think that we have chosen projects that will make a difference. You can contact us at BrianAndPaulien@gmail.com.
